It's Thanksgiving Friday everyone and that means the weekend. Who is excited?
Continuing with the Events and the Comfort Zone theme, I signed up for another event which took place this week, in fact yesterday. Vogue teamed up with Dior to arrange a beauty masterclass (which I desperately needed, as some of you know) at their Convent Garden Boutique.
This was another awkward situation for me. When you are alone, it is overwhelming at first but once the nerves settled down, you start to enjoy the occasion and have a good time.
We got beauty tips from Dior's make up artist Jamie Coombes, makeovers, drinks and also a make up goody bag to attempt the look at home.
At first, I was nervous but when it was time to leave, I had a big fat smile on my face. A big Thank You to Liam from Dior, who helped me with my make over and helped me with my purchases.
My biggest achievement this week was eating MACAROONS. This is massive, let's appreciate this mega achievement of mine. they taste de-li-cious.
I never in my wildest dream though that I will be eating Macaroons. This is one of the things that you dream of doing but when the dream turns into a reality, you don't know how to react? (do you understand what I mean??)
I was over the moon and ate not 1 but 2 macaroons. I am beyond thankful for having the opportunity to taste this delicious cookies.
If you live in Britain, you know that the Sun always play hide and seek with us. It was so exciting to finally see him come out of his shell and shine so bright.
This week I challenged my comfort level and I couldn't be more happy with the results and what I have achieved. I'm thankful, I had the opportunity to attend the beauty masterclass and eat the macaroons and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.
What are your highlights and what are you thankful for this week?

DeleteHi dear Naaj, you are wonderful and you should be so proud on you! Congrats, I think I can imagine how much courage was necessary for you to attend this event - but you got the rewards! To be honest I ate never macaroons in my life, but after reading your post I know again that this is a fault :)
ReplyDeleteI´m thankful this week that my lovely husband visited me at work and all my colleagues including my boss gave him such a positive feedback! And my husband understands now why I love it to go to work and why I like my colleagues and my boss so much :)
Hope you had a great weekend so far!

Really like these posts. Sometimes we forget how lucky we are, all the amazing things we get to see and do, which we just take for granted! it's great to step back every once in a while and admire how many wonderful things we DO have in our lives. :) x
ReplyDeletei am so happy that you liked the post Alice.
DeleteThis is one of the reason I started the Thanksgiving Friday Series. To be grateful and thankful for the positive things that we take for granted and are lucky to have.
I do love your post! I like macaroons too. Basically, I'm thankful for the sunny and warmer weather. Three months of continous rain has been too much for me.
