Time To Say Goodbye!

Hello beautiful people.

I am very sorry for the disappearing act but unfortunately there has been a LOT going on in my life and due to unforeseen circumstances I have to say Goodbye.

I never thought that this day will be coming so fast but after careful consideration, I have decided to bid farewell to the blogging world. I met so many wonderful people from around the globe and did lot of fun and exciting stuff that I never in my wildest dreams thought I would.

Blogging gave me friends, it pushed me outside of my comfort zone and be fearless, blogging taught me to chase my dreams and to take risk once in a while, an experience I will treasure for the rest of my life but most of all it gave me something that is priceless and money cannot buy, that's YOU.

You have been amazing. You've guided me, helped me and was there through my most difficult times and this journey wouldn't have been possible if it wasn't for YOU.

I would Thank each and every one of you for your tremendous support. I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. I will keep you in my prayers and pray to the Almighty that he shower countless blessings upon you and every dream of yours may come true because you deserve all the happiness.

Until me meet again, take care. Chav!

Thanksgiving Friday

Thankful for eating Strawberries

Strawberries are my favourite. Every time I see them, my face starts beaming. I have finished one box already and this one will disappear soon.

I don't get to eat them as often as I would like to because of my thyroid problem (very good source of Iodine) but I'm thankful that I got to eat the delicious berries this week. What is your favourite fruit?

Able to walk in these Zara shoes

I wore this shoes from Zara for the first time after purchasing them last year (first appeared in my haul post) and ended up getting blisters on both the legs. The legs were hurting a lot and I could barely walk.

Things got worse for me that evening when the bus driver told us that the buses are on diversion because of an accident. This meant, I had to walk home (30 minutes journey). My both legs were covered in plasters and I was struggling (I was literally crying because the legs were bad and to top it off, I had a terrible headache).

I prayed to God and kept walking. I was over the moon when I made it home. This was bad than last week. I am THANKFUL AND GRATEFUL FOR MAKING HOME SAFELY. I still cannot believe that I walked home that day. Thank God!

Eating healthy food

I have been making extra effort to eat healthy food like fruits, green leafy vegetables fish and drink loads of water. I started eating avocado, something I've always stayed away from but I like it now. What do you do to keep yourself healthy and fit?

So this are some of the things I am thankful and grateful for this week, what are you thankful for?

Thanksgiving Friday: What I Am Thankful For

I got home safely

I wasn't feeling well on Wednesday and while travelling back home, things got worse. I had very bad abdominal pain. I wanted to get home as soon as possible but got stuck in traffic and it took longer but i'm grateful and thankful that I made it home safely. Nothing serious happened on the bus.

Give someone a compliment and make their day

I met an elderly lady who said: "You are so nice, I will pray for you" just for no reason. I was blushing, she totally made my day.

It made me wonder that compliments like this don't cost money but they mean a lot and can make somebody happy. Why don't I try to do that? So I have decided that I will try my best to speak good and try and compliment people. You too should give it a try.

I am thankful that I have a abled body

I saw an elderly gentleman who was walking alone finding his way with the help of a walking cane/walking stick. I kept staring at him and started thinking of all the things I have taken for granted.

I have said it before and I say it again, it's the simplest things in life that matters the most and the one we take for granted.

I am thankful for having the opportunity to be one of the person who has a normal body. You and I need to appreciate it a bit more.

Hope you all had a wonderful week. No matter how hard your life may be, always remember that there is someone out there who doesn't have food to eat or a too over their head. Be grateful and thankful for what you have, no matter how big or how small it may be.

Thanksgiving Friday

Thank God it's Friday. Are you ready to take on the weekend? Before I gear up, here are some of the things that I am thankful for this Thanksgiving Friday.

Enjoying Spring Blossom in the Park

Taking the time out and enjoying spring blossom. The park looks magical with all the colourful flowers. Enjoying the flower petal shower here!

I am thankful that I am able to enjoy the simple pleasures that life has to offer.

Won the Gianmarco Lorenzi competition

As you can see from the tweet, I won tickets to the Gianmarco Lorenzi re-launch event. I covet their shoes, they are AWEOSME! Thankful for this opportunity to attend their #GMLaunch event and check the SS14 shoe collection which is on 9th April.

Thank God I finally got my first Tripod.

I finally managed to get a tripod. I have been wanting to buy one for a very long time as some of you will know. I got the Velbon Ex-440 from John Lewis.

If you have any tips for me, please let me know as I am very new to the concept of using the tripod to take my outfit pictures.

Still praying for MH370 crew and passengers, people of Ukraine, Chile who experienced a massive earthquake, lives lost in the US shootings and landslides and those who are injured.

Is there anything that You would like to be thankful for?

Thanksgiving Friday

Last Friday of the month means payday and shopping, right? It's also that day of the week where you and I celebrate Thanksgiving to appreciate and be grateful for the things and the people in our lives.

Thank God I'm finally making the effort to eat healthy food, to include vegetables in my diet. I have always stayed away from them especially broccoli (do you like broccoli?)

I never thought I would be enjoying the salad as much as I did.

I've been chilling at home, taking loads of rest and selfies as you can see :D

It was pouring down like crazy the other day and I finally got the chance to stay indoors, sit next to the window and watch the rain through the comfort of my bed.

I love seating next to a window with a cup of tea or coffee (talking of coffee, you remember I told you that I've given up drinking coffee? I haven't touched it since). It's the best thing ever to do on a rainy day, what do you think?

This is what I call Heaven on Earth. Imagine seating underneath the tree and reading your favourite book or wearing your favourite dress and just sleeping underneath the tree? Ok, I'm getting carried away now....

It is simple things in life that puts a smile on our face and doesn't even cost a penny. Being thankful for having another chance to live, to capture beautiful moments like this and just enjoying life in general. I don't know if that made any sense but I hope you get the idea what i'm trying to say.

More pictures have been uploaded to my Facebook page, please don't forget to check them. I would love to know which one is your favourite from the lot.

What's In My Bag - Rucksack Version

What's in My Bag featuring My Primark Leopard Print Rucksack

After watching the whole of You Tube do "What's In My Bagvideos and reading countless posts on the blogosphere, I decided to jump on the bandwagon and let you see what's in my bag.

I am currently carrying this leopard print and faux trim Rucksack from Primark, which first featured in my Primark Haul post.

It's light, in trend, spacious and has got small front pockets. I am a sucker for bags which has got loads of pockets / compartments. The hidden pockets are the best.

Iphone and Apple earphones

iPhone and Apple earphones: I cannot function without my phone. I know I know, the phone case is falling apart and I need to buy a new one.

Purple Jasper Conran Purse / Wallet inside my Leopard Print Rucksack

Jasper Conran purse: I've had this purse for a very long time and it's still going strong.

Yes, the purse is out of fashion but the quality is very good. In fact, all Jasper Conran bags/purses are of great quality and I have been buying them for more than 5 years.

Jasper Conran Wallet / Purse

Again, this purse / wallet, whatever you like to call it, has got loads of compartment and this one has more hidden pockets than any other bag I own.

The purse is stuffed with God knows what. I should do what's in my Purse/Wallet, what do you think?

Travelex Plastic Wallet with loose coins

Travelex Plastic Wallet: I'm getting poor day by day. All the notes have disappeared only the pence are remaining. Not even a £1 or £0.50p?

Plain Silver Ring from Primark

This is just a plain Silver ring from Primark which doesn't fit any of my fingers so for now the ring is just lying in my bag.

Vogue Magazine - March Edition

Vogue Magazine: £3.99 for a magazine is too much. (I will get a nice meal for £3.99)

I got this one for free when I attended the Dior event and it's still in my bag. I haven't had the chance to read.

Volvic Water Bottle

Water Bottle: I used to drink a lot of water which led to constant washroom visits. The embarrassment feeling kicked in and I gave up drinking water. I am an idiot,  I know.

Barclays Card and Provisional Licence

Bank Card and Licence: I got the provisional licence only to show it as an ID when Tesco stops me from buying alcohol :D

I don't drink, I had to buy it for my parents anniversary party (long time ago) and the person at the counter thought I was 14. I wish, but unfortunately I am not 14 anymore *crying*.

Purell Hand Sanitizer

Hand Sanitiser: When You are travelling by Public transport, hand sanitiser is a must.

Letters: London Fashion Weekend and my Neurology appointment finished like ages ago ad I still have these papers in my bag.

Empty Tissue Packet

You get the idea now that I don't like to throw things away, I like to treasure them. My life is so sad :(  I need to clean my bag and buy new set of tissues.

Mission accomplished, I have finally published the "What's In My Bag" post. Have you done this tag? If yes, leave me a link to your post because I want to be nosey.

Thanksgiving Friday: What I Am Thankful For This Week

It's that day of the week, where we cannot contain our excitement and are in full swing to welcome the weekend. Happy "Thanksgiving Friday" everyone.

Malaysian Airlines MH370

Praying for passengers and crew on Malaysian Airline MH370

I have been travelling for the last 10 years and I am thankful that all these time I have safely landed.

The plane has been missing for 3 days now and  nobody knows what happened.

I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for the friends and family members of the Malaysian Airlines passengers and crew members. Not knowing what happened and where their loved ones are, is the most traumatic thing one has to deal with.

I am still hopeful and praying for a miracle. Please, let us all keep them in our prayers and our thoughts.

I  Saw Peacocks

Do you like Peacocks? When i was in Goa, a lot of people from my village saw these beautiful  and I always wished that I too will get the chance to see rather than just admiring them on TV. Unfortunately, that never happened and I forgot about them completely.

I went to Holland Park the other day and as I was walking around I saw 3 peacocks, can you believe it? I couldn't believe my eyes.

However, there was a problem. They were far and I couldn't see them properly. I waited there for 15 minutes hoping they will come closer but they did not move from the place.

Then I saw 2 girls taking pictures of something. When I went closer to the area where the girls were taking pictures, this is what I saw;

Peacock Feather Fan

I was so happy, I cannot even explain. I actually sat on the floor and took as many pictures I could (to the extent where my camera battery died). I am definitely going back to see my peacock friend again :D

Remember The Girl 146

If you follow Michelle Phan, then you already know what i'm talking about. Love146 is a non-profit organisation which gives care to the survivors of human trafficking. Please watch the video and you will understand what I'm talking about.

Thank you so much for reading and I wish you all avery happy weekend. Don't forget to share your best moments from the week. Be safe and take care.

Thanksgiving Friday: What I Am Thankful For This Week

It's Thanksgiving Friday everyone and that means the weekend. Who is excited?

Thankful that I was able to attend the Vogue and Dior Beauty Masterclass

Continuing with the Events and the Comfort Zone theme, I signed up for another event which took place this week, in fact yesterday. Vogue teamed up with Dior to arrange a beauty masterclass (which I desperately needed, as some of you know) at their Convent Garden Boutique.

This was another awkward situation for me. When you are alone, it is overwhelming at first but once the nerves settled down, you start to enjoy the occasion and have a good time.

We got beauty tips from Dior's make up artist Jamie Coombes, makeovers, drinks and also a make up goody bag to attempt the look at home.

At first, I was nervous but when it was time to leave, I had a big fat smile on my face. A big Thank You to Liam from Dior, who helped me with my make over and helped me with my purchases.

Eating Macaroons has t be the highlight of my thanksgiving Friday

My biggest achievement this week was eating MACAROONS. This is massive, let's appreciate this mega achievement of mine. they taste de-li-cious.

I never in my wildest dream though that I will be eating Macaroons. This is one of the things that you dream of doing but when the dream turns into a reality, you don't know how to react? (do you understand what I mean??)

I was over the moon and ate not 1 but 2 macaroons. I am beyond thankful for having the opportunity to taste this delicious cookies.

Thankful that the Sun finally decided to shine

If you live in Britain, you know that the Sun always play hide and seek with us. It was so exciting to finally see him come out of his shell and shine so bright.

This week I challenged my comfort level and I couldn't be more happy with the results and what I have achieved. I'm thankful, I had the opportunity to attend the beauty masterclass and eat the macaroons and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.

What are your highlights and what are you thankful for this week?

Thanksgiving Friday: What I Am Thankful For This Week

It's Thanksgiving Friday everyone. As you know by now, every Friday I post about the positive things/incidents that happened throughout the week, to help motivate each other through our bad/difficult times.

Here is what I am thankful for this week

Keeping the people of Ukraine in prayers this Thanksgiving Friday

As you may know, there is a massive protest going on in Kiev, Ukraine and so many people have lost and continue to lose their lives. Let us keep them in our prayers.

While I was travelling yesterday, I saw a man holding a poster which read "Ukraine Is On Fire". It is sad to see what is going on in the world. There is no PEACE.

I am thankful that I'm still alive. We should be thankful that we got to see today and do all the things that we did.

Attended London Fashion Weekend

For the second time in a row, I got the chance to go to London Fashion Weekend. The catwalk shows and watching people dress up in colourful clothes is the highlight for me.

If you are into Fashion or Beauty, you must attend the London Fashion Weekend. You get the chance to watch catwalk shows and even experience the FROW if you are lucky.

I am thankful that i got to eat such a delicious cake

I was reporting live from a birthday party and tweeting all the food photos, feeding information to Noor from Noor's Place (Noor and her sister Areeba are the funniest sisters I have ever met)

They are not keeping well at the moment. Please could you comment on their posts and wish them a speedy recovery? You can have a slice of this beautiful cake as a thank you. Don't forget to tell them that I sent you.

I am thankful that I got to eat the delicious cake and the food (there was a lot of food. I'm not lying; check my twitter pictures for proof)

Thankful that i saw Frank Lampard

Last but not the least, I met saw the famous footballer "Frank Lampard". I am doing well, aren't I? He is handsome and has a lovely smile. Sorry the image is not clear. I had to zoom in on my iPhone

Never thought in my wildest dreams, I will get the chance to see celebrities/footballer or even watch a catwalk show. I am thankful to have witnessed these events and most of all enjoy them.

How was your week? Do you have anything to be thankful for?

I Went Out Of My Comfort Zone: Attending #BrizBlogMeet

Attending Briz Blog Meet was out of my Comfort Zone

One of my blogging goals this year is to go for blogger meets or events so I can meet other bloggers. This is completely out of my 'Comfort Zone' but I want to be bold and do things that I have never done before or at least try my best. Keeping this goal in mind, I signed up for Briz Blog Meet up.

As soon as I emailed Emily (who organised the Briz Blog Meet together with her boyfriend Phil) I started doubting my decision. I was excited but more nervous.

Even yesterday (2nd March) I wasn't sure whether to attend or skip the event. I gathered courage (Weather played a key rol, it was bright and sunny) as it was time for me to break the Comfort Zone and do something that I normally wouldn't do.

Thanksgiving Friday & Reader Spotlight

Our lives are full of ups and downs and we always seem to dwell on the negative or bad things and the good incidents or the positive things seem to take a back seat.

This is the reason I started the Thanksgiving Friday series. Why not take the time and put the spotlight on the good things that happened during the week and be thankful for all the positive vibes and the good energy. Let us take the time and be thankful for the situations or the people who brought a smile on our face.

Thankful that I was able to visit Westminster Cathedral on my Birthday

Some of you will know that I celebrated my birthday on Monday (yes, i am getting old). I am thankful that I am still alive and was able to spend the day with my loved ones. I also got the chance to go to Westminster Cathedral and take part in the Mass celebration which is very important to me.

There are so many people who are not so fortunate or who are lonely and have nobody to celebrate their birthday with. I am grateful that I got to witness the day.

Thankful that I was able to walk in this shoes

You all know that I attended London Fashion Weekend by now. I was debating whether to wear these boots.

I lasted 8 hours in this heels. When I first wore them, I walked for 15 minutes and my feet started hurting. I took a risk and decided to wear them and to my surprise they were comfortable to walk. Thank God that the shoes did not cut my day short like last time.

Thankful that I finally got a Laptop

I got a Laptop. Finally. It was about time. My old one is resting in peace and I broke my brother's laptop.

Blogging was getting difficult and I had to go to internet cafe to write my posts and upload the pics. I am so thankful that I have a new laptop and nobody is allowed to touch the Apple, not even my brother whose laptop I broke (being ruthless, I know :D)

Thank you for your suggestions. Shayne, please thank your boyfriend for researching and helping me with this.

Did anything good happen to you during this week that you would like to be Thankful for this Thanksgiving Friday?

Reader Spotlight

It's the 28th today which means end of February and I did not want to compromise on the Thanksgiving Friday post, decided to combine them both.

Time to shift the spotlight on my readers (You can read my blog updates to find out what I'm talking about)

Busola Coutts14th December 2013 09:53
Naaj sweetheart, I am so sorry you are dealing with this. It breaks my heart but i know you are strong.

I once heard a lady suffering from sickle cell disease say, "The doctors only treat the symptoms of my disease and not the cure. So i have taken it upon myself to research on it by getting to know my body and figuring out what is good for me to stay healthy. I haven't felt any better since then. I feel great." You can't come this far to give up now. Get up every morning, step outside and breathe. Do the things you love doing the most. The things that make you happy and put a smile on your pretty face. When you are feeling down, go for walks or drives to ares that cheer you up. Rent movies you love (I will recommend "Love Actually").
Go to a coffee shop and have a sit while you people watch. Find a way to love life again. Take it one day at a time my dear and remember it is up to you to stay healthy. It is the simple things in life....Do it with someone if you can. Some people pray for what we take for granted.
You will be okay Naaj, I promise. You have life and that means thee is definitely hope. Please stay in touch. You know how to find me :).

I would like to say a big Thank You to Busola for the amazing advice. If you are going through a tough time, you might want to give this a try. It helped me big time.

Gemstones from GemPundit: Stone With A Purpose

Loose Gemstone and Lab Certificate from GemPundit

When GemPundit.com contacted me to review their Gemstones, it brought back memories from my college days in India (yes, I studied in India and moved to UK when i was 16. Times does fly by).

I remember that I and my friends use to buy newspaper every day only to read our horoscopes and what the day had in store for us (do you remember doing this or do you read your horoscope?). We read the breaking news and other stories I think only after we all finished reading each others horoscopes (we are well educated students, isn't it? hehe)

Loose Gemstone from GemPundit

It is believed that the type of stone you wear can have direct effect on your lifestyle. I am beginning to believe that this might be true.

When GemPundit got in touch, I was going through a tough time (remember my post, Don’t Know What is Wrong?) I couldn't focus; too many questions but no answers.

I emailed GemPundit asking for advice as to which gemstone should I be purchasing and Shivanghi mentioned to go for South Sea Pearl Super Premium because of its benefits; steady mind, pacifies anger, helps with depression, instability in life and in strengthening the heart.

Sparkling Precious Gemstone from GemPundit

This stone was a perfect match. I placed the order on 4th January and received my precious little Pearl Gemstone on 13th January.

Considering the Pearl arrived all the way from India on a standard delivery, must say I’m impressed. I thought it would take at least a month. To my surprise, there was neither customs delay nor there were duties/taxes imposed. That is what I call stress free shopping.

The Packaging for Gemstones

I was entitled to free shipping (standard delivery) and you could be too if you live in India, USA, UK, UAE, Singapore, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Nepal.

Having said that, GemPundit also offers FREE EXPRESS SHIPPING WORLDWIDE to over 200 countries / territories for orders about INR 10,000 (roughly US$167 and £97 as of 12-Feb-2014)

There were x3 boxes protecting the Pearl stone and lab certificate that comes with every purchase. You have the option to either go for a loose stone or a piece of jewellery in the form of a Ring, Necklace or Bracelet. I went for a loose Pearl stone which I keep in my purse.

Pearl Gemstone Lab Certificate from GemPundit

I have definitely seen a massive change in my lifestyle. I am focussed, no questions buzzing in my head and most importantly I am smiling and not crying.

Of course, I am not giving entire credit to the Gemstone/GemPundit for the change (you played a significant role and I am forever grateful) but I believe that this precious gemstone played a part in getting me back on track and helping me focus on my goals and my dreams.

Sparkling Precious Gemstone from GemPundit

If you would like to purchase a loose gemstone or a piece of jewellery, GemPundit has kindly offered my readers 10% discount. Please enter “naaj25L4E1rona” at checkout.

The website is filled with information and you can watch videos of the gemstones too. The staff members were friendly, polite and answered all my questions.

*Disclaimer: I paid for the Gemstone using my own money and this is my honest opinion/review. I did not have to pay duties or taxes but I would advise you to check with your local customs/authorities before placing an order.

Don’t Have To Wake Up at 4am

This morning when mum and my elder brother got up to go for work, I realised how lucky I was that I get to lie in for another 2 hours. I complain that I don’t get enough sleep, imagine if I had to get up at 4? Thank God that I don’t start work at 5am in the morning.

Compliments of the Season peeps. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones.

Christmas is all about Giving

My Christmas Gift to Someone Special

We hear everybody say that Christmas is all about sharing, caring and giving. But, do we actually give our most loved precious things to others?

You may say that you share with your siblings and so on  but what about a complete stranger? Have you ever thought of the people who are lonely, who do not have a family, who are orphans, who spend their Christmas alone,

Don't Know What is Wrong

Don't Know what's going on in my Life

Last couple of days has been extremely difficult. To be honest, I have been struggling for a very long time. But now it's come to a stage where I cannot function at all. My body has given up on me. I want to lock the door and stay in the room. Is it a sign of depression? To be honest, I don't know.
