Thanksgiving Friday: What I Am Thankful For This Week

It's that day of the week, where we cannot contain our excitement and are in full swing to welcome the weekend. Happy "Thanksgiving Friday" everyone.

Malaysian Airlines MH370

Praying for passengers and crew on Malaysian Airline MH370

I have been travelling for the last 10 years and I am thankful that all these time I have safely landed.

The plane has been missing for 3 days now and  nobody knows what happened.

I cannot even begin to imagine how difficult it must be for the friends and family members of the Malaysian Airlines passengers and crew members. Not knowing what happened and where their loved ones are, is the most traumatic thing one has to deal with.

I am still hopeful and praying for a miracle. Please, let us all keep them in our prayers and our thoughts.

I  Saw Peacocks

Do you like Peacocks? When i was in Goa, a lot of people from my village saw these beautiful  and I always wished that I too will get the chance to see rather than just admiring them on TV. Unfortunately, that never happened and I forgot about them completely.

I went to Holland Park the other day and as I was walking around I saw 3 peacocks, can you believe it? I couldn't believe my eyes.

However, there was a problem. They were far and I couldn't see them properly. I waited there for 15 minutes hoping they will come closer but they did not move from the place.

Then I saw 2 girls taking pictures of something. When I went closer to the area where the girls were taking pictures, this is what I saw;

Peacock Feather Fan

I was so happy, I cannot even explain. I actually sat on the floor and took as many pictures I could (to the extent where my camera battery died). I am definitely going back to see my peacock friend again :D

Beauty Haul: Dior & Clinique

Beauty Haul: Dior and Clinique Purchases

This is my first beauty haul. I don't buy a lot because I hardly wear make up and when I do make the effort, the only products I use are; Mascara, Lipstick, Eye and Lip Liners, Brow Pencil and Eye-shadows.

I have been watching a lot of beauty related You Tube videos lately which has contributed to these purchases.

I went into Debenhams to buy foundation. I use to wear a Clinique one (this was a very long time ago). The consultant couldn't find the perfect shade. The foundation was either orange or pink. I gave up on foundation and bought few items while I was there.

Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions: Cleansing Foam & All Over Clearing Treatment - £15.50 (125ml)

Clinique Cleansing Foam

Clinique Ani-Blemish Solutions: All-Over Clearing Treatment - £18.50 (50ml)

Clinique All Over Clearing Treatment

I am having break outs and they are becoming increasingly noticeable  The consultant at the Clinique counter recommended these items.

The products are 100% Fragrance and Paraben free and is suitable for all skin types. Clinique claims that these anti-blemish solutions will treat existing blemishes and prevent future breakouts. I hope they deliver what they promise.

Clinique Chubby Stick: Moisturising Lip Colour Balm - £17.00

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Colour Lip Balm

I bought the Chubby Stick moisturising lip colour balm. I want to work on my lip collection as it is very limited at the moment and I tend to use the same colours all the time.

Because I was so nice, Clinique decided to give me a free gift bag. I spent around £52 on these item. Clinique had an offer I believe that if you spend a certain amount, you qualify for a free beauty gift bag.

Clinique Fruit and Cake designed colourful Make-Up/Toiletries Bag

Look how pretty my new make-up bag is, thanks to Clinique. Strawberries, Cupcakes, Macaroons this is food heaven.

This is what the bag included;

Clinique Chubby Stick Moisturising Colour Lip Balm

Liquid facial soap mild // Moisturising lotion // Moisture surge CC cream // 06 pink chocolate quad (eye shadows) // Chubby stick lip balm // High impact mascara in 01 black.

I have realised that all these Clinique products are fragrance free which is awesome.

Now on to my Dior items that were purchased when I attended the Beauty Masterclass event.

If you read my last Thanksgiving post, you know that I attended a Dior beauty event. I took this opportunity to get my hands on their new Air Flash foundation collection.

I had a make-over done at the Dior Beauty Event and this was the foundation used. You can either spray the foundation directly on your face (make sure your eyes are covered) or spray it on your hand and then apply using a brush.

DiorShow Brow Styler - £18.00

A Dior liner to add to my slowly growing lip collection.

I spent £95.50 and there was a free Trousse Pouch for those who spent £100. I was £4.50 short but staff who served me (Thank You Liam) was too kind to let me have the pouch.

My make up and toiletry bags are sorted. These bags will be handy on my trip to Goa which is next month, yippeeeeee!!! I am so excited and cannot wait for April to take over.

Dior Trousse Pouch from my Beauty Haul

I also got a cute little Dior goody bag from the event. I will post a photo of the goodies on my Facebook page, so make sure to follow me there.

What is your favourite beauty product and do you own any of the item you have seen in my post today?

Thanksgiving Friday: What I Am Thankful For This Week

It's Thanksgiving Friday everyone and that means the weekend. Who is excited?

Thankful that I was able to attend the Vogue and Dior Beauty Masterclass

Continuing with the Events and the Comfort Zone theme, I signed up for another event which took place this week, in fact yesterday. Vogue teamed up with Dior to arrange a beauty masterclass (which I desperately needed, as some of you know) at their Convent Garden Boutique.

This was another awkward situation for me. When you are alone, it is overwhelming at first but once the nerves settled down, you start to enjoy the occasion and have a good time.

We got beauty tips from Dior's make up artist Jamie Coombes, makeovers, drinks and also a make up goody bag to attempt the look at home.

At first, I was nervous but when it was time to leave, I had a big fat smile on my face. A big Thank You to Liam from Dior, who helped me with my make over and helped me with my purchases.

Eating Macaroons has t be the highlight of my thanksgiving Friday

My biggest achievement this week was eating MACAROONS. This is massive, let's appreciate this mega achievement of mine. they taste de-li-cious.

I never in my wildest dream though that I will be eating Macaroons. This is one of the things that you dream of doing but when the dream turns into a reality, you don't know how to react? (do you understand what I mean??)

I was over the moon and ate not 1 but 2 macaroons. I am beyond thankful for having the opportunity to taste this delicious cookies.

Thankful that the Sun finally decided to shine

If you live in Britain, you know that the Sun always play hide and seek with us. It was so exciting to finally see him come out of his shell and shine so bright.

This week I challenged my comfort level and I couldn't be more happy with the results and what I have achieved. I'm thankful, I had the opportunity to attend the beauty masterclass and eat the macaroons and enjoy the beautiful sunshine.

What are your highlights and what are you thankful for this week?

Thanksgiving Friday: What I Am Thankful For This Week

It's Thanksgiving Friday everyone. As you know by now, every Friday I post about the positive things/incidents that happened throughout the week, to help motivate each other through our bad/difficult times.

Here is what I am thankful for this week

Keeping the people of Ukraine in prayers this Thanksgiving Friday

As you may know, there is a massive protest going on in Kiev, Ukraine and so many people have lost and continue to lose their lives. Let us keep them in our prayers.

While I was travelling yesterday, I saw a man holding a poster which read "Ukraine Is On Fire". It is sad to see what is going on in the world. There is no PEACE.

I am thankful that I'm still alive. We should be thankful that we got to see today and do all the things that we did.

Attended London Fashion Weekend

For the second time in a row, I got the chance to go to London Fashion Weekend. The catwalk shows and watching people dress up in colourful clothes is the highlight for me.

If you are into Fashion or Beauty, you must attend the London Fashion Weekend. You get the chance to watch catwalk shows and even experience the FROW if you are lucky.

I am thankful that i got to eat such a delicious cake

I was reporting live from a birthday party and tweeting all the food photos, feeding information to Noor from Noor's Place (Noor and her sister Areeba are the funniest sisters I have ever met)

They are not keeping well at the moment. Please could you comment on their posts and wish them a speedy recovery? You can have a slice of this beautiful cake as a thank you. Don't forget to tell them that I sent you.

I am thankful that I got to eat the delicious cake and the food (there was a lot of food. I'm not lying; check my twitter pictures for proof)

Thankful that i saw Frank Lampard

Last but not the least, I met saw the famous footballer "Frank Lampard". I am doing well, aren't I? He is handsome and has a lovely smile. Sorry the image is not clear. I had to zoom in on my iPhone

Never thought in my wildest dreams, I will get the chance to see celebrities/footballer or even watch a catwalk show. I am thankful to have witnessed these events and most of all enjoy them.

How was your week? Do you have anything to be thankful for?

I Went Out Of My Comfort Zone: Attending #BrizBlogMeet

Attending Briz Blog Meet was out of my Comfort Zone

One of my blogging goals this year is to go for blogger meets or events so I can meet other bloggers. This is completely out of my 'Comfort Zone' but I want to be bold and do things that I have never done before or at least try my best. Keeping this goal in mind, I signed up for Briz Blog Meet up.

As soon as I emailed Emily (who organised the Briz Blog Meet together with her boyfriend Phil) I started doubting my decision. I was excited but more nervous.

Even yesterday (2nd March) I wasn't sure whether to attend or skip the event. I gathered courage (Weather played a key rol, it was bright and sunny) as it was time for me to break the Comfort Zone and do something that I normally wouldn't do.
