An Evening With Kate Spade New York and Ella Catliff

Kate Spade Event with Ella Catliff

When Ella Catliff announced that she and Kate Spade New York was hosting an event at their Westfield store, I was jumping up and down and throwing some killer dance moves, giggling and blushing. The sight was not very good to watch.

I was happy, thrilled, excited, nervous, over the moon to meet Ella after my last encounter at the GAP AW14 event. There was no way I was going to miss this opportunity.

Kate Spade Accessories are to die for. Once you get inside, it is very difficult to get out of the store empty handed. The prices too are reasonable which is what took me by surprise. There are so many things on my wish list. Once I come back from the holidays, I will definitely be paying a trip to the store for sure.

The glasses style bracelet and the coin purse are some of my favourites but the one that tops the wish list is the Cross Body Abbie in Red (above). Look how gorgeous the bag is.

Macaroonsssssss........ Unfortunately, I did not have time to eat any because I was way too busy admiring Ella and Holly and the gorge Kate Spade accessories.

I also got the opportunity to meet the lovely Holly McGlynn who is a street style photographer at Company Magazine. She has worked with loads of bloggers like Two Shoes One Pair, Ella Catliff, Kavita from She Wears Fashion and so on. The list is endless.

There was a competition where we were challenged to style the beautiful Kate Spade Accessories. The winner got to take home the stunning Kate Spade Bow Terrace Justine Handbag.

You can see how I styled the accessories and also check out the winner of the awesome Kate Spade handbag competition (that lucky person who got to take the beautiful handbag home, hint: you might recognise the person).

I had such a wonderful time and the treat was meeting Ella Who is just a humble person. The surprise was when she told me that she has read my blog. That is big news for me. I still cannot believe that.

Do you fancy any of the accessories you have seen so far? My Kate Spade wish list is very long and I am definitely going to have a hard time deciding what to buy and what not to buy.

P.S. I am going on a vacation to India  (coming back at the end of May). As a result I will not be able to post as the internet access is bad.

I will try my best to update the blog but the best thing will be that you follow me via bloglovin or twitter so you don't miss out on the posts.

Accessories: Ring and Bracelets

Looking at these pictures definitely suggest that I was in a modelling mood. Look at the different poses I'm channelling here, Holy God (laughing hysterically). This is what blogging does to you, brings out the inner model in you. Do you agree?

Blue is definitely big this season and I too decided to embrace this colour, so much that I went for blue on blue look. Obviously, in different shades and texture and that's the beauty of creating a monochrome look.

Last outfit was mainly black, this time its blue. The shades are getting lighter as I climb the colour ladder. What do you think of my blue on blue look? Is it something you would wear?

Back To Basics: Striped T-Shirt

In the park wearing striped T-shirt and Skinny Jeans

Stripes are becoming increasingly popular and had made their way into the closet staples. The other day I went to Westfield London and couldn't believe how many people were wearing striped T-shirts, obviously styled in different ways.

This time, I decided to pair the striped tee with skinny jeans, red belt with gold stud details and black boots with gold details.

I am forever buying clothes in black (There is a story behind it though which I may/may not tell you some other time) and then complain that my wardrobe lacks colour.

White and Green Statement Ring

As most of my outfit is in neutral palette, I decide to add colour in the form of a belt and bag.

Accessories are a great way to inject colour in to your outfit, be it a necklace, a bracelet, a scarf or a bag, they can instantly add oomph and jazz to the overall look.

Striped T-shirt, Skinny Jeans and Bag

The styling possibilities are endless. The striped t-shirt is one of those pieces which can be worn all year round and can be styled up or down depending on the occasion.

Add a pencil skirt, black pumps and red lipstick and you are ready to rock your date night. What do you think?

Hi, I'm Laura, a 20 year old from a little village in Norfolk, East Anglia. I'm a 2013 graduate from the University Campus Suffolk with a Fashion and Textiles degree and I am now looking for new and exciting opportunities whilst searching frantically for intern-ships, apprenticeships and more. I'm inspiring to be a Print Designer, as a long term career, but also have interests in Visual Merchandising and Buying which you could say is more of a short term job desire.
I thought it might be nice to share with you my all time Holy Grail items and why. It’s always fun having a nosey into other peoples belongings and lifestyles so I hope you thoroughly enjoy!

With working most days in the city I’m constantly on the go and the Zara mini office city bag is always the bag I use. It’s so flipping stylish and it restrains me from shoving too much junk inside.
Its part of the basic range and it’s affordable but the best part about it is the cushioned middle pocket which is perfect for your iPad, tablet and so on. Except I don’t have one so I give my iPhone extra padded protection. The only magazine I tend to read is ASOS monthly because it gives me the low down on new items. I’m more of a picture person so I can’t be dealing with mags full of writing.

My all time favourite scent is Chloe Love and I cannot. Live. Without. It. I think it could genuinely be my signature scent forever. I don’t wear it every day because that would get pricey but if I’m not working I will be drenched in it.
It smells like the Palma Violet sweets which are also my favourite thing ever so it kind of makes sense to why I love the scent so much. Palma Violet sweets, Palma Violet perfume, Palma Violet flavoured lip balm. Oh dear.

With my hair and skin I have to take great care. If you’re like me and have brittle hair or very dry skin then you know you constantly have to take care in keeping them nourished and moisturised. My hair gets unbelievable tangled after the shower and I was suggested Redken as a great detangle product and as soon as you put this little miracle worker into your hair it straight away becomes easy to put a brush through. I swear by this product.
In my beauty draw, I have numerous amounts of hand cream for my poor abnormally small hands however this one from my Glossy Box seems to be my favourite because the Lavender smell is oh so relaxing and stops me going cray cray. It’s also connected to the NHS Foundation Trust which I really like.
Smash Box Photo Finish, Mac Lipstick and Bubble Gum Lip Scrub by Lush are some of the Holy Grail Items

Holy Grail Items: Mac Lipstick and Bubble Gum Lip Scrub by Lush

Finally I share with you my most used make-up items. If you don’t prime then it’s a crime. What a giggle. Smashbox is the best primer I have come across. It’s great for your skin but also your eyelids before applying eye makeup and it doesn’t crease your makeup, become oily or anything. I’ve had this for a year and I have a year still left in it, you get a great amount for the price.
Lush Lip Scrub is something no one should live without because it’s a product you can eat? I mean com’on, its sugar. The bubblegum taste is amazing and it always leaves my lips feeling totally fresh and new before applying lipstick. You will have no worries about chapped lips.  In summer, I’m constantly wearing MAC Morange because it goes beautifully with a tan but also goes great with paler skin too. It’s invincible really. If you’re looking for an in-trend lipstick this year I suggest MAC Morange or a orange coloured lipstick of some sort!
Altogether that makes my Holy Grail items and the beauty must-haves for everyone in the world. I have thoroughly enjoyed writing for you Naaj Rona, it has been a pleasure. If anybody wants to know more please just give me a shout!

Gemstones from GemPundit: Stone With A Purpose

Loose Gemstone and Lab Certificate from GemPundit

When GemPundit.com contacted me to review their Gemstones, it brought back memories from my college days in India (yes, I studied in India and moved to UK when i was 16. Times does fly by).

I remember that I and my friends use to buy newspaper every day only to read our horoscopes and what the day had in store for us (do you remember doing this or do you read your horoscope?). We read the breaking news and other stories I think only after we all finished reading each others horoscopes (we are well educated students, isn't it? hehe)

Loose Gemstone from GemPundit

It is believed that the type of stone you wear can have direct effect on your lifestyle. I am beginning to believe that this might be true.

When GemPundit got in touch, I was going through a tough time (remember my post, Don’t Know What is Wrong?) I couldn't focus; too many questions but no answers.

I emailed GemPundit asking for advice as to which gemstone should I be purchasing and Shivanghi mentioned to go for South Sea Pearl Super Premium because of its benefits; steady mind, pacifies anger, helps with depression, instability in life and in strengthening the heart.

Sparkling Precious Gemstone from GemPundit

This stone was a perfect match. I placed the order on 4th January and received my precious little Pearl Gemstone on 13th January.

Considering the Pearl arrived all the way from India on a standard delivery, must say I’m impressed. I thought it would take at least a month. To my surprise, there was neither customs delay nor there were duties/taxes imposed. That is what I call stress free shopping.

The Packaging for Gemstones

I was entitled to free shipping (standard delivery) and you could be too if you live in India, USA, UK, UAE, Singapore, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Nepal.

Having said that, GemPundit also offers FREE EXPRESS SHIPPING WORLDWIDE to over 200 countries / territories for orders about INR 10,000 (roughly US$167 and £97 as of 12-Feb-2014)

There were x3 boxes protecting the Pearl stone and lab certificate that comes with every purchase. You have the option to either go for a loose stone or a piece of jewellery in the form of a Ring, Necklace or Bracelet. I went for a loose Pearl stone which I keep in my purse.

I have definitely seen a massive change in my lifestyle. I am focussed, no questions buzzing in my head and most importantly I am smiling and not crying.

Of course, I am not giving entire credit to the Gemstone/GemPundit for the change (you played a significant role and I am forever grateful) but I believe that this precious gemstone played a part in getting me back on track and helping me focus on my goals and my dreams.

If you would like to purchase a loose gemstone or a piece of jewellery, GemPundit has kindly offered my readers 10% discount. Please enter “naaj25L4E1rona” at checkout.

The website is filled with information and you can watch videos of the gemstones too. The staff members were friendly, polite and answered all my questions.

*Disclaimer: I paid for the Gemstone using my own money and this is my honest opinion/review. I did not have to pay duties or taxes but I would advise you to check with your local customs/authorities before placing an order.
